Seconds out, it's Round 2!

For the first time since 2019, spectators will be able to attend an AMCA British Motocross Championship event as the Uley MXC stage round 2 of the 2021 series on the hillside track at Nympsfield this coming Sunday, May 23^rd. And on the evidence of the action served up at Boraston just two weeks ago, they are certainly in for an exciting treat and at a cost of just £5 Adults with Children U12 and OAP’s being charged £2, it’s an absolute bargain!!

New AMCA National series is go!

After being put on hold for 12 months, the new AMCA National Series finally gets a chance to burst into action this weekend with its opening round at Bromsberrow. Sponsored by Dirtshifter Bike Cleaner, this Championship caters for Juniors, Seniors and Experts riders who have either not qualified or do not want to compete in the main AMCA British Championship.

AMCA British MX Championship R1 at Boraston

Hosted by the very hard working Teme Valley MXC, Boraston in Shropshire was the venue for the eagerly awaited opening round of the AMCA British Motocross Championship powered by Datatag and supported by Dunlop. With all the classes stacked full of quality, the typically unpredictable British weather though failed to play ball and read the good times script!! Following 24 hours of almost continuous rain, the circuit had become an absolute quagmire thus even creating doubt amongst some riders if the event would be able to go ahead!

2021 AMCA MX Championship ready to GO!!

Every entry list for the new series is stacked full of quality and a host of potential moto winners but picking the eventual Champions appears to be a totally different proposition!

After a break of nearly three years, racing returned to the AMCA owned circuit at Nympsfield on Sunday organised by the Uley MXC. Following endless hours of hard graft, the club were rewarded with a bumper entry attending and some very pleasant Spring sunshine.

2020 AMCA MX Championship R4 at Long Lane

Following 24 hours of non-stop rain, the prospects for the penultimate round of the 2020 AMCA British Motocross Championship actually taking place at Long Lane on Sunday appeared very slim! However throughout that period, the organising Wrekin MXC were always adamant that the event would definitely go ahead, a very bold statement to make considering the awful weather! To their ultimate credit though, the Club’s judgement proved to be spot on with track conditions totally raceable and the meeting able to be completed so well done to everyone involved.

We are the Champions!!

It’s many congratulations to the 2020 AMCA British Motocross Champions. Also a very big well done to AMCA Events and all of the organising clubs in being positive and forward thinking to thus get the series on and done in what as surely been one of the most difficult years in living history for everyone concerned. Fingers crossed that 2021 will be far less stressful!!

Following a hot, round three held at Warmingham Lane, Cheshire on Sunday, there’s no change at the top of the standings in the 2020 AMCA British Motocross Championship powered by Datatag and supported by Dunlop. How can I start?

This all depends on what discipline you want to start with – some require you to take a licence whilst others are more flexible and allow you to turn up and ride. Once you have opted for a discipline, see the FAQ for more tailored questions.

What is the difference between motocross, enduro, and trials?

These are all different disciplines the AMCA caters for, along with much more. Motocross is fast paced, short races over both natural and man-made terrain with 36 riders going into a first corner. Enduro is more long distance, long duration events, usually through woodland. Trials is slow paced, technical, balance based over challenging short course with the object to go through without putting your foot on the floor.
