AMCA British MX Championship R6 at Coleorton

What a baptism of fire Sunday’s round 6 of the AMCA British Motocross Championship at Coleorton was to be for the organising Coalville MXC! Hosting a blue riband event for the first time, the club were forced into a major, day-long battle against rising dust clouds on what was the hottest weekend of the year so far. The Club though to their ultimate credit refused to be defeated and after already having spent endless hours of hardwork and preparation pre-event were then forced into two big watering sessions on raceday. So it’s a massive well done to all the club officials and marshalls for their determination in getting the job done !

AMCA British MX Championship R5 at Hawkstone Park

What an ultra-tough challenge for both man and machine round 5 of the AMCA British Motocross Championship at Hawkstone Park was to be! Heavy rain had turned the famous Shropshire venue into an absolute sloop fest, conditions being so deep that it sapped engine power and fried clutches. Indeed so bad was the heavy going that racing was eventually restricted to just two blocks of action with it being a big achievement just to bring it home and get to the chequered flag!

AMCA British MX Championship R4 at Norley

In the 2021 AMCA British Motocross Championship powered by Datatag and supported by Dunlop, it’s certainly beginning to get very interesting at the top end of the respective title tables following Sunday’s round four hosted by the Mid Cheshire MXC on a simply brutal Norley circuit. And in MX2 it’s fast becoming particularly intriguing as just one single point separates FUS Marsh MX Husqvarna teammates Nev Bradshaw and Shane Carless. In the other hotly disputed classes it’s Ashley Greedy (LHRT Kawasaki), Kieran Banks (Meredith MX Fantic), Phil Mercer (FUS Marsh MX Husqvarna), Andrew Watkins (MDMX Apico Racing KTM), Oliver Rigby (Edge-One Motocross KTM) and Oakley Kettle (Rikki Priest Academy KTM) leading the way.
