Its challenge signed, sealed and delivered as the AMCA wrapped up their 2024 British Motocross Championship with a deciding round at Lower Drayton in Staffordshire. Just over two months earlier, the circuit was hit by a deluge of rain ruining the intended staging of round 4 of the series but this time there was to be no such issues. For the rerun, conditions were spot on allowing riders to give it their all as they battled out four moto’s apiece to determine their final Championship positions.
The Monster Mountain circuit in Wales provided the challenge for riders attempting to climb to the summit of the 2024 AMCA British Motocross Championship last weekend. And for Lexi Emery (BWMA 85cc Girls), Grace Richards (BWMA Women), James Lane (Vets Over 40’s) and Matt Wright (Honda Cup) it was a story of peak reached and mission accomplished as they confirmed their respective titles.
Good old Hawkstone Park was the setting for round five of the 2024 AMCA British Motocross Championship supported by Holab Concepts and Joov Sports Products. And as expected the iconic venue was to produce a stern challenge for most competitors and with it plenty of outstanding, close racing.

During any motocross Championship season, it just about always odds on that at least one round of your chosen series will ultimately be affected by adverse weather and difficult track conditions. And, that’s just what happened during round 4 of the AMCA British Motocross Championship held at Lower Drayton last weekend.

Supported by Holab Concepts and Joov Sports Products, the 2024 AMCA British Motocross Championship chase visited Cheshire recently. Round 3 was hosted by the Middlewich MXC who had prepared the Warmingham Lane circuit to perfection and with the weather even playing ball it helped ensure two full days of exciting action.
In the AMCA Vet’s series, the local Lane Brother’s James and Simon scored a couple of moto win’s each with Matt Ryder, Sean Smith, Adam Wilkinson and Richard Meakin also right in the frame. As James extended his Vet’s Over 40’s Championship advantage, Matt Ryder still tops the Vet’s Over 50’s table but his lead is now down to just 8 points.
First up in the 2024 series was the combined Open/MX2 Class and with that mixture of engine capacities, the action was always going to be very frantic and extremely interesting. In the opening moto Ray Rowson, a rider who had previously competed at the top level of UK motocross was fastest away.
