2025 AMCA British MX Championship R3

With the UK enjoying a lengthy spell of recent hot, dry weather, preparing a motocross track to get good race conditions and pretty much nullify the threat of that dust menace is indeed never an easy task! So, with the AMCA British Motocross Champion visiting Brookthorpe for round three of it’s 2025 series, there was to be only one, ideal person to deliver the goods! Step forward a take a bow Mike Truman and your hardworking team, getting the prep absolutely spot on thus ensuring another terrific weekend of AMCA action as the title chase reached its midway point.

It’s round 3 of the AMCA British Motocross Championship this weekend as the series visits the spectacular Brookthorpe circuit near Gloucester for yet more hot action! This will be the midway point in the 2025 title chase and already some of the Championship tables are showing distinctive patterns..

On a revamped and expertly prepared Bromsberrow circuit, Uley MXC hosted round 2 of the 2025 AMCA British Motocross Championship last weekend. And, the combination of those prime track conditions coupled with pleasant, settled weather were the ingredients which helped ensure that this was to be another super Championship tussle.

From Fatcat Motoparc in the North to Bromsberrow in the South, it’s round two of the 2025 AMCA British MX Championship this coming weekend, April 26^th/27^th. Up in Yorkshire for the opening episode of the title chase, it was all about some outstanding debut performances and maiden victories and if the Bromsberrow action turns out to be even half as good, it’s going to be quality!

Maiden winners, new names scoring big points, great racing and a little bit of drama, the opening round of the 2025 AMCA British Motocross Championship at Fatcat Motoparc had it all! Indeed, the first race of the new season was to set the stall out for what was to unfold and produce a fairytale story with possibly the emergence of a new AMCA star!

The 2025 title chase will be contested over six rounds with the opener coming this weekend, April 5^th/6^th at Fatcat Moto Parc, Doncaster. Normally the AMCA Weymouth Beach motocross goes hand in hand with dry, fine weather but for the 40^th Anniversary event on Sunday it was to be a totally different story as ‘Ashley’ the first named storm of the season did it’s very best to wreak havoc! Gale force winds and heavy rain meant a very high tide which simply refused to retreat making the completion of the track building on Sunday morning just about an impossible task!

Weymouth Beach motocross ready for some serious sand surfing!

It’s that time of the year when thousands of spectators will line the Weymouth Esplanade as they watch the exciting Beach motocross action unfold! And in 2024, it’s going to be a very special occasion as the event celebrates its 40^th Anniversary. Normally at Weymouth the racing caters for Juniors, Seniors and Experts but this time around there’s also a class for Veteran riders Over 40.

2024 AMCA British MX Champions are crowned

Its challenge signed, sealed and delivered as the AMCA wrapped up their 2024 British Motocross Championship with a deciding round at Lower Drayton in Staffordshire. Just over two months earlier, the circuit was hit by a deluge of rain ruining the intended staging of round 4 of the series but this time there was to be no such issues. For the rerun, conditions were spot on allowing riders to give it their all as they battled out four moto’s apiece to determine their final Championship positions..

It’s the 2024 AMCA British Motocross Championship finale this weekend as the title hunters lock horns in another two days of action at Lower Drayton in Staffordshire. In this series supported by Holab Concepts and Joov Sports Products, Lexi Emery (BWMA 85cc Girls), Grace Richards (BWMA Women), James Lane (Vets Over 40’s) and Matt Wright (Honda Cup) have already wrapped up their respective titles although there’s still plenty of glory up for grabs!.

.The Monster Mountain circuit in Wales provided the challenge for riders attempting to climb to the summit of the 2024 AMCA British Motocross Championship last weekend. And for Lexi Emery (BWMA 85cc Girls), Grace Richards (BWMA Women), James Lane (Vets Over 40’s) and Matt Wright (Honda Cup) it was a story of peak reached and mission accomplished as they confirmed their respective titles. This two-day event should have been the finale of a series supported by Holab Concepts and Joov Sports Products but was now the penultimate round instead! So that meant that the action became even hotter with potential glory tantalisingly in touch!

'Monster' weekend ahead for Championship Chasers

It’s time to travel to the mountain and confront the monster for riders contesting the 2024 AMCA British Motocross Championship supported by Holab Concepts and Joov Sports Products. This weekend’s event at the Welsh venue near Merthyr Tydfil, CF48 4AE, was initially meant to have been the final and deciding round of the series but as now become the penultimate clash instead!! So that means riders have eight more moto’s in total still remaining to decide their eventual finishing positions for 2024!

2024 AMCA British MX Championship Round 5 at Hawkstone Park

Good old Hawkstone Park was the setting for round five of the 2024 AMCA British Motocross Championship supported by Holab Concepts and Joov Sports Products. And as expected the iconic venue was to produce a stern challenge for most competitors and with it plenty of outstanding, close racing.

How can I start?

This all depends on what discipline you want to start with – some require you to take a licence whilst others are more flexible and allow you to turn up and ride. Once you have opted for a discipline, see the FAQ for more tailored questions.

What is the difference between motocross, enduro, and trials?

These are all different disciplines the AMCA caters for, along with much more. Motocross is fast paced, short races over both natural and man-made terrain with 36 riders going into a first corner. Enduro is more long distance, long duration events, usually through woodland. Trials is slow paced, technical, balance based over challenging short course with the object to go through without putting your foot on the floor.
