The 2022 AMCA Skegness Beach Race certainly proved to be productive for the Chambers Racing Team. Topping the podium was the very talented Dan Thornhill, not only bagging a third Skegness success but also recording his maiden win aboard his new Chambers Husqvarna machine. Backing Dan up, teammate Ben Franklin took 3rd whilst having a rare outing aboard a 450cc powered mount. Completing the main Skegness top three was none other than Evgeny Bobryshev, a former double ACU British Champion and GP rider. This was not only the Russian’s first race outing in 2022 but also rather incredibly throughout his entire distinguished career a first ever Beach Race outing!

Read MoreFollowing six previous rounds which had produced plenty of great racing, drama and sadly a couple of tragic incidents, the destination of the 2022 AMCA British Motocross Championship titles were to be finally decided on Sunday. The venue for the finale was the hillside circuit at Nympsfield and although there was little further movement at the top of the standings in the respective classes, this last round promoted by the Uley MXC still served up some simply super action!

Last Sunday, the famous old location hosted round four of the AMCA British Motocross Championship sponsored by Dunlop and the Shropshire going was to be in absolute prime condition. Displaying their affection and love for Hawkstone, Matt Bayliss (125cc), Gary Davies (Vets) and Freddie Gardiner (Youth 85cc) all scorched to maximum points whilst Luke Burton (MX1) and Nev Bradshaw (MX2) were also overall winners on the day.

Testing a riders technical ability, determination and concentration to the maximum, day one at Warmingham Lane in Cheshire offered a dry, slick circuit with an ever increasing amount of dust followed then by very wet going on day two after the venue had been battered by overnight rain. Indeed that rain then continued to fall throughout Sunday’s proceedings but thanks to some extensive track preparation by the organising Middlewich MXC during the break between the two day’s, the event was completed with five full blocks of action. And that action was to prove very interesting, creating new leaders in the MX1, 125cc and Vets Championship standings.
