What a season it's been for James Dodd and JSR Thunderroad Honda. Having already been crowned the 2019 AMCA Superclass Champion, Doddy made it a double by picking up the IMBA MX1 European title on Sunday at Kleinhau in Germany.

Here's some words and pics from a rightfully delighted JSR team owner Jamie Smith following the German event which also saw Andy Smart confirm a superb runners-up slot in the IMBA series.

As the saying goes.. this is what you call a wrap  the team took a long drive to Germany for the last round of the IMBA European championships! The track looked awesome but was very stoney! Here’s the all important race results..

Qualifying 3 - Ashley Thomas 4 - James Dodd 11 - Andy Smart

Race 1, Andy and James just needed to ride safe to secure their podium positions for the year..

4 - James Dodd 5 - Andy Smart 6 - Ashley Thomas

Those opening race results meant that James had been confirme as the 2019 IMBA MX1 European Champion, huge congratulations to him proving that hard work always produces the desired results!

Race 2, this was the all important race for Andy and he did enough to secure 2nd place in the IMBA Championship, well done Andy

5 - Ashley Thomas 7 - James Dodd 9 - Andy Smart

Race 3.

5 - Ashley Thomas 6 - Andy Smart 7 - James Dodd

Ashley rode very well today and was 30points off 3rd position in the overall leaving him to finish in 4th for the championship

Finally Jamie Smith said "Congrats to all of my MX1 lads .. you rode awesome this year couldn’t be prouder! And not forgetting of course Bradley Tranter, despite not getting the championship result he wanted, we’ve loved having you on board and are very excited to have you as a MX1 450 rider next year

Three years ago I started a team just for the love of the sport, never did I imagine that my little team would finish 1st, 2nd & 4th in the IMBA European Championship, win the AMCA Superclass and have riders finish 3rd, 8th & 9th in the AMCA Championship. I am so proud to work with such an awesome team of people, who support us week in and out. Thank you to every single member of the JSR team and of course to all of our fantastic sponsors. Without the support we have from our sponsors, I would not be able to continue this dream team. Thank you all so much ... roll on 2020 "
