Continuing his recent fantastic form,Clinton Barrs took a simply superb overall victory during round two of the IMBA MX1 European Championship at Krasny Dvur in the Czech Republic last weekend.
On his 450F Delkevic Kawasaki,Clinton bagged a very strong 1/2/3 scorecard with the next best British rider being Lee Dunham in 4th overall.
After scorching to that 1/2 in the opening two clashes on a dusty and slippery circuit,Clinton looked set to finish the meeting in style with another moto win. However after grabbing the holeshot and leading,Clinton crashed and although German Frank Jansen-Teitz then briefly took control it was Dunham who was to slip through and snatch the victory.
The AMCA British team at Krasny was completed by Richard Meakin and debutant Chris Neesam who finished 14th and 16th overall respectively.Unfortunately at the time of going to press,no further details and full results were available. However we do know that Teitz holds an incredibly narrow Championship advantage over Barrs with Dunham just a further five points in arrears. The next round of IMBA MX1 is now the British event at Branston on Sunday,31st July where our Brits will be determined to earn more glory!!.
