The 2011 AMCA Superclass Championship reaches its second and final round this coming Sunday, with the Rossendale MXC hosting the meeting at their Whalley Nab track. The decider looks all-set to be a classic as Richard Cannings and Lee Dunham start the meeting locked together on 164 points each!!.
Just a further seven points in arrears is Clinton Barrs, buoyed by his fantastic 4th overall in the recent IMBA MX1 round in Switzerland.Whilst Cannings, Dunham and Barrs are all MX1 mounted and naturally favourites to lift the title, don't rule out top MX2 pilots Jack Taylor(4th),Shane Holmes(6th) and Sean Frayne(7th) who all bagged big points totals during the opening round held at Enstone.Currently completing the Superclass top ten are James Lane, Richard Meakin,Simon Lane and Carl Benjamin.
Sunday's event also features a Northern qualifying round for riders hoping to compete in the 2011 main AMCA MX1 motocross championship and plenty of supporting racing for North West Group competitors. To find Whalley Nab,take Junction 6 off M65 then follow the A6119.
