Midlands AMCA Motocross Regrouping

PDFPrintE-mail

Over the winter period Group officials representing the clubs across the West Midlands, South Staffs and South Shropshire have got their heads together with the AMCA office bods to form two new bigger and stronger ‘supergroups’ for the 2011 season.

The move is to give riders events with fuller start lines across a whole host of local Midlands tracks.

There are now twenty four clubs split across the two Groups hosting  75 events at 22 different local venues across the region, maintaining the AMCA’s position as the premier organiser of motocross events in the Midlands.

AMCA owned venues such as Boraston and Shobdon will be in use along with other favourites such as Branston, Upton Court, Polesworth  and Condover. Two new tracks have also come into use for 2011 for the Wolverhampton Club and the Midland Social club.

All riders and clubs have been informed of the changes and both Groups are looking forward to an action packed season which will also see two clubs host prestigious IMBA rounds, Newport Club will host the IMBA sidecar round on 10th July, Burntwood Barracudas will host the IMBA MX1 round on 31st July.

The Midlands has always been seen as the AMCA heartland and the 2011 season ensures that it will stay right at the heart of the AMCA activities.
