Yorkshire - Into the Future
Written by AMCA OFFICE Tuesday, 15 December 2009 00:00
A new initiative has been forged by the AMCA and it’s Yorkshire clubs to put the spark back into AMCA activities in the county!.
A number of incentives have been agreed which are specific to the area which aim to increase the rider numbers in the area and assist the clubs to run events on quality tracks.
The proposals were welcomed by the representatives of the clubs who were all present at a recent meeting held at Netherton near Wakefield.
Three representatives from the AMCA office and an AMCA Director attended the meeting and presented the proposals.
The new benefits for 2011 are as follows:
- All 2011 licence holders who are members of Yorkshire clubs will receive THREE FREE ENTRIES when they take out an AMCA licence in 2011.
These can be used at any Yorkshire Group meeting. The cost of an Adult A licence will remain at £140, the value of the three free entries is £66. Effectively the net cost of the licence is only £74 when you take into account the FREE ENTRIES!!
- Standard entry fee for 2011 is £22 per event.
- Top tracks heavily subsidised by AMCA – to enable clubs to run at the best venues in Yorkshire!
- Easy pay deals for transponders from as little as £30 per year!
- Minimum return for Yorkshire clubs of £2,000 per event for events with a minimum of 60 riders.
- Excellent deals on AMCA owned tracks for hire (Bevercotes and Wigsley)!
- Online services to allow riders who held a licence in 2010 to renew their licence on line.
- Riders can enter events online for clubs who want to utilise this facility.
- Licence fee can be paid in two instalments (letter needed to apply for facility).
- NO One Day Licences will be accepted at Yorkshire events in 2011 to encourage membership.
- All AMCA events are transponder timed, results posted on internet within 24hours.
The AMCA and the Yorkshire clubs are committed to the AMCA way continuing in Yorkshire and we believe that these measures will help the Group prosper and gain more members.
