AMCA Wigsley practice event 12th Feb - try our beloved sport

PDFPrintE-mail

Following the success of the Wigsly practice on 22nd Jan, the AMCA owned venue will be running another motocross practice on Sunday 12th February and will be open to ALL - even those who are interested in just trying out the sport with qualified tuition on site!

The price is just £22 for practice, and the track is open 9:30am to 4pm, split into sessions of Inters (those aged 9-14years on 85/150F), Juniors (novices 14years on MX2 and above), and Seniors/Experts combined. The circuit postcode is NG23 7ES, Nottinghamshire, between Newark and Lincoln. First aid, catering, and toilets are all confirmed!

Full AMCA rules will be in place to ensure the practice is legal, safe, first aid in attendance, and most of all... FUN! The sessions are open from anyone aged 9 years and up (9-18year olds must book in advance)!

Qualified tuition will also be on hand (at extra cost) on the day for those interested in improving their skills. Or if you are interested in starting out but not sure how to get started or just want some tuition, then qualified coach and ex British Championship rider Richard Mike-Jones will be on hand to help out any riders wanting to learn from the complete basics to the fine tuning of your skills!

If you want to book in for practice, it will be first come, first served due to space. If you want to book some qualified tuition, again, space will also be limited, please visit the RMJ Academy website and contact RMJ for details - click here.

If anyone hasn't been to Wigsley, it is an almost weather proof circuit following its summer revamp with deep sand and self draining lines. Additionally it has hard standing car park so no risk of getting stuck in the mud! To book in online now, please click here to take you to the fixtures, or phone the office on 01543 466282 for details.

The event will also be open to riders who do not have an AMCA licence. If you have held a licence previously with another association, it must be displayed prior to riding. If not, no problem, a short test may be completed to ensure you are competent to ride.

The AMCA is an established motocross governing body, entering its 80th year! We permit close to 1,000 off road events each season and is a family orientated organisation with a democratic process meaning riders always get their way! All generated revenue in pumped back into the sport with no-one taking a share of profits! The AMCA has invested via purchase and long term lease into hundreds of acres of land nationwide and is always on the lookout for more to benefit the members. To become a member of the AMCA family, contact one of our clubs today!

For a quality day out, book in now!
