Licence Fees Held For 2012!!!

Last month the AMCA embarked on it’s biggest opinion poll ever in order to seek the views of it’s riding faithful before setting it’s licence and entry fees for the forthcoming season.
Over 7,000 emails were issued to riders asking them if they would prefer the current structure and stick with the low entry fee that the AMCA has always been known for along with a £140 licence fee, or would they prefer to move to a cheaper licence fee with an increased weekly entry fee.
The emails flooded in and were sorted into the two options , plus a significant pile of ‘don’t knows!’ One email reply of ‘if it ain’t broke , don’t fix it – is it broke?’ Raised a giggle in the office when sorting through the masses of replies!
The conclusive result being that AMCA riders would rather stick with what they’ve got with most preferring to get the licence fee out of the way at the beginning of the season and then benefit from week after week of cost effective racing.
The AMCA relayed this information to the Motocross Committee meeting on Saturday 15th October and then your elected Board of Directors took this on board when setting the fees for 2012.
The Board decided on an inflation busting package of no increases on licences for 2012! This will be the fourth consecutive year that the AMCA licence hasn’t increased.
An Adult licence remains at £140 and the youth licence remains at £93. Entry fees increase by £1 taking the standard entry fee to £23.
Amendments have been made to the Discretionary Licence in order to make returning to ride with the AMCA even more attractive for ex members. The D’ Licence remains at £60 but criteria has been relaxed and is now available to riders who are over 28 years old providing they held an AMCA licence prior to 2007 OR have a family member with a current AMCA licence. The standard entry fee for a D licence holder will be £35. So if you have a friend, family member, who may still have an interest in the sport, then make them aware of this development!
All AMCA riders who held a licence in 2011will be able to renew and pay for their 2012 licence on line from 1st November!
The AMCA Board of Directors and it’s clubs are committed to providing cost effective racing and in this difficult economic environment are pleased to announce that their riders will be able to continue to benefit from the best value entry fees the sport has to offer. This has been achieved without sacrificing insurance cover as the AMCA still provides all it’s riders with automatic Personal Accident cover and all it’s event have £30 million Public Liability cover – one of the best levels of insurance in the motorsport market.
