Bellis on the road to recovery
Written by AMCA OFFICE Tuesday, 04 October 2011 00:00
Top AMCA Championship rider Aled Bellis was involved in an accident on Monday 3rd October when a farm building he was working in caught fire.
Aled was originally put on life support but is recovering well and has been transferred to the area’s Special Burns Unit, and is now in high spirits. Bellis finished 13th in the overall 2011 MX2 Championship, and came second in the Amateur MX2 Class in the British Masters Championship. Bellis had a fantastic final Championship round at Norley on the 2nd October, finishing joint third overall, just a point off being on the podium for the very first time! From everyone at the AMCA and involved with the North Wales North Shropshire AMCA Group, the AMCA Championships, and the Masters Team, we hope to see you back on the bike soon! Get well soon Aled; our thoughts go out to the Bellis family! Pictured is Aled at a recent AMCA club event.
