Shawbury final event - 2nd October

On Sunday October 2nd the Wem and Shawbury MX Club is running it's next and final event of 2011 at the recently refurbished Shawbury track.

The new track is designed and built by world acclaimed track builder JOHNNY DOUGLAS HAMILTON. The greatest design feature of the track is it's ability to get more from the fastest riders but still being great fun and 'teasing' for lesser ability or start-up riders. It really is a great fun track for all abilities because it is built correctly. After all, that's what JDH does as his full time job!

The track is perfectly built on a pure bed of deep bottomless black soil, amazing material for motocross and has 2 x long "manual roller sections", a super large table-top, on a corner around the bend table-top, corner entry 'falling away" table-top type double and various single jumps.

It is an AMCA event, open to all AMCA licence holders using the FroCH system or by simply entering as a late entry. Non AMCA riders can also enter via a 'One Day Licence' which you complete on the morning of the event, or booked in advance by downloading the the application by selecting the above resource centre link. The price of a 'One Day Licence' is £65 on the day or £56 booked in advance.

The event is run by the Wem & Shawbury MX Club (which also runs the events at Tunstall Hall, Market Drayton) and is an event run in the North Shropshire & North Wales Group. The track is simply on the side of the A53, just 1-mile outside Shawbury headed toward Shrewsbury. Post code is SY4 4EA - Check it out on Google maps.

As a Club we welcome all riders in all classes, Inter Juniors to MX1 Experts and from any AMCA Club / Group, schoolboys 85/SW and above and any other affiliation.
