It's IMBA 'Double' time

For the AMCA riders also chasing IMBA European Championship glory, the next two weeks could well prove to be extremely pivotal as they face back to back meetings.
The MX1 team travel to Ohlenberg in Germany this coming weekend, followed just seven days later by a visit to Wingles in France.Meanwhile our MX2 lads are off to Groesbeek in Holland before moving onto Andelfingen,Switzerland .
Last time out for MX1 was on home soil at Branston where Lee Dunham finished in 3rd overall with Clinton Barrs 5th,Shaun Pearce 7th and Rich Meakin 12th.That result meant that Dunham leapt above teammate Barrs and into 2nd place in the title standings, just four points behind leader and current triple Champion Frank Jansen-Teitz with Barrs only a further three points in arrears. So it’s all to play for in MX1 although Sunday’s event at the tricky, tight Ohlenberg is also Teitz’s home circuit!!.
Also enjoying home track advantage this weekend is the current IMBA MX2 leader,Dutchman Rene Albers however he does have a very determined duo of Brits on his tail as Shane Holmes holds 2nd and Jack Taylor 3rd. Making this another successful campaign in MX2 for the AMCA ,Carl Benjamin sits in 5th,Scott Mathia 7th and Scott Williams 10th.In their last round at a wet Allaire in France,Holmes and Taylor were the top British performers in 4th and 5th respectively after bike problems in the final moto had robbed Benjamin of an almost certain podium placing.
Good luck to all Team AMCA riders in your IMBA Championship ‘Summer tour’.
