Sidecar IMBA at Long Lane

Following the very successful recent IMBA MX2 European Championship round at Brookthorpe,it’s the turn of the Sidecar boys to come under the spotlight this weekend.
Proudly hosting the event will be the Newport MXC and you can be sure that after endless hours of hard-work,their Long Lane circuit will be in prime condition for some,quality sidecar action.Taking on the top crews from Europe will be eight determined and very proud British crews,chasing points in what will signal the penultimate meeting of the 2011 IMBA European series.
After three rounds already held in Holland,Belgium and Germany,Aled and Iwan Evans are the top Brits in 17th place just ahead of Alan Peever/Tony Philips(20th),Tom Mann/Neil Burke(21st) and Neil Warrington/Chris Whatmore(22nd).At present its Belgian and Dutch crews though who are dominating the series with Andreas Closhe/Christian Verhagen flying the flag high for Belgium in pole position,19 points ahead of Gerton Kops/Roger Langermaat with defending champions Jarno Boomen/Henry van den Wiel in 3rd.
Whilst Evans,Peever,Mann and Warrington all start at Long Lane,they will be joined in action by David Petty/ Thomas Andrews,Tony Grahame/James Morrell,Andy Nourish/David Nourish and Elliott Hugill/Mike Curnow.
So,all you spectators,get along to Long Lane,ready to witness a great day of Sidecar action where you can be certain that Team GB will be giving 110% in their battle for European glory. Don’t forget to be loud and proud as you wave those Union Jacks!!.
Keeping you fully entertained and supporting the main European Championship racing will be a full programme of solo competition for Experts,Seniors and Juniors.
