Former AMCA Motocross rider from Wolverhampton Scott Illidge died on Monday 27 June after being involved in a road accident in Shropshire near Bishops Castle.
Scott who was 38 first rode AMCA Motocross with the Wolverhampton & District Auto Club in 1989 scoring successes in the junior classes. After 6 years Scott stopped riding but was back in 1996 for a brief period and later retired again in 2002 scoring a 2nd place in the Wolverhampton club meeting in May at the Hungry Hill circuit near Bewdley riding a 250 Yamaha in the seniors. He stopped riding motocross in 2002 but still enjoyed his road bike.
