The British Bike Bonanza 2011 & Moseley & District Classic - The Hanbury Scramble 2011: “The Old British Singles Thumper Race”.
On the 26th June 2011 The British Bike Bonanza, and on 4th of September 2011, The Hanbury Scramble will host a race class for Pre-unit 4 stroke British Singles 350cc. –Unlimited.
Our aim is an attempt to encourage back to the classic scene some of those nostalgically significant British pre-unit single thumpers.
This class is scheduled to provide a class that is historically representative of scrambling in the Fifties & early Sixties, and an opportunity for anyone with a pre-unit single thumper to bring it out of hiding & show it off and provide a visual and auditory treat for the spectators.
This is a race class mini-series in which trophies will be presented for 1st 2nd & 3rd position from the two meetings [to be presented at Hanbury] The Hanbury meeting will also present trophies for the “Most Original Thumper” and the “Best Prepared Thumper”.
