Return to Breakhill: East/Trent - 19th June
Written by AMCA OFFICE Friday, 03 June 2011 00:00
The AMCA Office have resurrected a superb venue for the East / Trent Group which has been agreed for exclusive AMCA usage; in other words, you have to be a member of the AMCA to make use of the amazing site!
The track, which some may recall from almost 20years ago (when it was last used in the AMCA) is known as Breakhill, in Northampton. The AMCA along with the East / Trent Group is going to be running a practice session on the 19th June at the all new and impressive venue which will be ran under AMCA rules. Many jumps, berms, etc are already in place and well established so with lots of additional work being supplied, we are hoping for a top day out! The date has been selected as it gives riders the opportunity to ride due to a break in your calendar and should be able to accommodate the groups that aren’t running. Constructive feedback will be required and welcomed throughout the day from all riders in order to help improve the layout and make it even better for when the first race meeting is booked! James Harrison commented on the site "the massive site is hopefully going to become something very special. The ciruit has got a little buit of something for everybody and I can't wait to get started. The undulating site we are hoping to become one the best tracks in the AMCA, but only with your input!"
The track will be available to book (strictly through the AMCA office) for any AMCA club once up, ready and finished so your support is essential to make it as enjoyable as possible and so you can enjoy the site for many a year to come!
The entry fee for the practice will be the same as a standard entry fee, i.e. £22 for ‘A’ licence holders. You can enter this event online or through your Group Coordinator, Sue Cannings. It is preferred that all entries are processed through your Club Secretary if not possible to book online and passed through to Sue on a block booking basis! Just to reiterate, the only entries that will be processed through the office are those booked online. Therefore, the list of riders along with payments made to your Club secretary should be forwarded to Sue at the usual cut off, 10days prior to the event to enable us to assess numbers. The number of riders for this practice event will be restricted in numbers, so ensure you book in quickly to avoid the disappointment of missing out on the return to Breakhill! Late entries will only be available if room permits.
If East/Trent riders do not wish to ride at this practice event, you can continue to sign for the Stratford @ Weatheroak event (as per usual events), although on a room permitting basis. There is no requirement for a FROCH ride to race at Weatheroak, but if wishing to ride elsewhere other than Weatheroak, then the FROCH system will be implemented.
If you have any friends, relatives, or know riders in local folded Clubs that are perhaps interested in taking up the sport or riding this practice event, please do not hesitate to contact me and we will see what we can arrange and try to accommodate them. This will however be strictly booked in advance though through the office!
We look forward to seeing as many as you there as possible.
