West Lancs MXC at Warmingham Lane
Written by MIKE WOOD Monday, 11 April 2011 00:00
The West Lancs club pulled out all of the stops to put on an excellent meeting at Warmingham Lane on Sunday. Well done to Sharon Dita Higham and of the club members.
Despite one or two red flags, during the morning session, plus the Two stroke qualifiers to contend with too, (nine blocks of racing) a good day’s sport was to be had by both rider and spectator alike. I personally have never seen so many spectators at such an event. The car parks were full as was the spectating circle.
With temperatures hotter than Greece, the sun beamed down uninterrupted, giving some spectators and riders a sore pink ‘lobster look’ to take home as a memento! The racing was non-stop and red-hot in all groups making this another super AMCA event. If today’s action was just a small taster of what is to come in 2011, then this season is going to be an exciting MX year for both rider and spectator alike.
