Polesworth at Stipers Hill

The Curtain closes on the South Staffs season at Stipers Hill, Polesworth.The track was in good condition with the club putting in alot of hard work,the weather was good, great atmosphere, hard to believe it was the groups last meeting of the year, with 8 full races, the crowd was in for plenty of action, & Joseph del-Busso was not going to disappoint. Del-Busso showed the way round stippers hill taking all 3 races, in the experts gp1 in great style, Del-Busso took 1st overall & the E V ATKINS memorial trophy for most points on the day for polesworth members.with Chris Hill & Matt Cooper battling it out for 2nd & 3rd overall.Rider George Hough was very unlucky after a great start again in the 2nd race got taken out on the 2nd corner,& found himself at the back of the pack, but battled back to 6th place, but squashing any chance of a trophy & finishing down in 6th overall.
Experts gp2 was a great spectators race, with plenty of action, Andy Marchant took the 1st overall spot after a hard fought battle with Pete Wainwright & Joe Severn with the top 3 only been separated by 7 points, 1st mx2 rider home was Rian Warren taking a gutsy 5th overall, with club mate Joe Wright 2nd mx2 rider home, down in 7th, Wright is not long back from serious injury & after a crash on the 2nd corner in the last race finished any chances of catching club mate warren.
Seniors mx1 saw a good battle for top spot between John Thornley & Gregg Walker with Thornley coming out on top by just 2 pts leaving 3rd place to Ian Rowley, Thornley took the holeshot in the last race & never got passed so secured his no1 spot.
MX2 Seniors was actioned packed with Kye Marshall taking all 3 races, there was plenty of action going on behind him with 6 lads battling for the metal work, & eventually Tom Trawford prevailed & took 2nd overall, Adam Turner took 3rd after slipping in a corner in the last race blew his chance of 2nd overall.
Juniors gp1 one day licensee Mick Gosser tried to take the spoils from Elliot Mucciacciuoli but Elliot was have non of it & took all 3 races in great style leaving Gosser to fight it out with Shaun Hibberd for 2nd & 3rd trophys respectively.
Juniors gp2 Luke Ridgway took 2 wins & a 4th in a hotly contested junior race, Seref Brahium rode consistantly for his 2nd overall trophy with Jason Clarke finishing on the same points as Seref finished in 3rd place.
Under 18 Junior Cameron Winfield didnt get it all his way, when the 2nd race was taken by Keiran Young, Winfield battled hard to secure his 1st overall spot, with Gareth Williams pushing hard for his 2nd overll trophy & hard riding Keiran Young finished his season in 3 rd place on equal points with Williams.
& Finally not forgetting our brilliant Inters who have been great ambassadors for the sport,they have battled all season for the trophys & it was Howard Wainwright who took 1st overall in there last 2011 race, by winning all 3 races, Jonathan Hall & Ryan Hughes battled hard for their 2nd & 3rd spot, with unlucky Brad Edwards just missing out on the metalwork, Harry Clarke, Warick Mitchell-Gough, Callum Evans, Luke Williams,Leighton Legge, Jacob Button & Ben Hughes respectively finished off the season in good spirits & gave us a good race to watch.Results
