2010 British Bike Bonanza
Written by DAVE GITTINS Friday, 02 July 2010
There were tropical temperatures for the start of the 29th British Bike Bonanza in Gloucestershire last weekend and they stayed that way throughout the whole weekend. Keeping to a tried and tested formula there were two classic trials on Saturday (Bonanza trial and Rickman British Bike Championship trial), and a classic scramble on Sunday which included the Rickman British Bike championship. And with counter-attractions like the World Cup, Wimbledon, Glastonbury and Formula 1, as well as the heat, the attendance was down on previous years.

Bath Classic charity scramble
Written by DAVE GITTINS Tuesday, 04 May 2010
The Bath club’s first classic scramble of the season at Yatton Keynell last Sunday looked like being a wet one. Heavy rain overnight on Saturday created one or two problems in practise. But, just as forecast, the rain moved away and by the time racing started conditions were just about ideal for the 70+ entrants, who were supplemented by sixteen late entries, caused mainly by two cancellations.

Magical Red Marley
Written by DAVE GITTINS Thursday, 29 April 2010
OK so it maybe a little late, but just have a look at the superbly descriptive report from David Gittins and images from Mike Meadows that captures the unique atmosphere that can only be generated by the magic that is Red Marley!!. It was the sound of Dave Faulkner's 1948 JAP-engined Norton that did it. Walking up to the start area, well muffled from the wind, when from behind me came the splendid sound of the JAP engine - rorty with a capital R, complete with the heady aroma of Castrol-R. Memories of the "Golden Era" came flooding back. The legend that is Red Marley 2010 had begun.
