This coming Sunday, October 13th, it’s the always popular AMCA Weymouth Beach Moto-Cross event. Hosted by the very enthusiastic and hard-working Purbeck MXC in conjunction with the Weymouth and Portland Lions Club, the aim of this great beach bash is to try and raise as much money as possible for local Dorset charities.
Those funds are accumulated through rider entry fees, programme sales and bucket collections although spectating is totally FREE for everyone! And for anyone thinking about attending, there’s certainly going to be some star riders worth watching!
Topping the early Experts entry are none other than three times Weston Beach race winner Todd Kellett along with French Beach race star Milko Potisek. Joining them will be IMBA MX1 European and AMCA Superclass Champion James Dodd, AMCA MX1 Champion Shane Carless and Veteran’s ace Phil ‘Factory’ Mercer amongst others.
There’s also racing for Juniors in which the entry full signs have already gone up and Seniors. Each Group which is of Unlimited capacity gets two moto’s each with the race action due to start at 1.00pm sharp. So get down to Weymouth Beach front as soon as possible this coming Sunday to secure your viewing spot along the promenade, drop some money into those collection buckets and enjoy a fantastic day out! And remember that right throughout proceedings all of the Weymouth bars, cafes and restaurants will be open to keep you fed and watered!
