Following another week in which wet weather decimated the motocross fixture list, one of the surviving events proved to be an absolute litte gem of a meeting! Thanks to the sterling efforts of current circuit landlord Mike Dunham, the natural hillside circuit at North Nibley was in prime condition, deservedly getting a massive thumbs up from from just about the entire 200 strong entry. This really was an example on just how a motocross event should be presented and promoted!

With top class track preparation and technical layout, it was time to go racing at this Uley MXC meeting. The two Experts classes featured several top AMCA Championship runners some of which had double entered to improve their race fitness before the start of the serious action which commences at Norley in just three weeks time. In MX1, Gary Gibson on the TMC Kawasaki won two moto's but after sitting out the final clash, the overall went to Tony Griffiths ahead of Adam Cook and James Lane. Over in MX2, Luke Dean on the SevenSevenTwo Yamaha was in truly fantastic form winning all three moto's in style with Matt Ridgway in 2nd and Jack Wankling in 3rd.

Seniors overall wins at North Nibley was recorded by Nathan Frayne(MX1) and Ross Millard(MX2) with both lads blasting to stylish maximum points scores. In MX1 Juniors, David Eacock started with a 4th place before reeling off two wins. Andrew Batten also recorded two wins on his way to Juniors MX2 overall victory, starting the day with a runners-up placing in moto one behind Tate Rogers. The final group for Inter Juniors started with a classic encounter as the verdict went right down to the final corner, Sonny Noble just getting home first ahead of Oliver Hurst and Joe Dyer. Indeed that was also how the final overall top three was to unfold whilst Nathan Molter just got home ahead of his sister Tyla in the battle for 4th.
