Superclass
The ‘Peter Cartwright Memorial Trophy Unlimited cc’ Superclass events were first run in 1972 with Ken Myles from Clee Hill Victors the inaugural winner.
Since then some of the great AMCA riders have won the mini-Series which has developed into the traditional pre-season for the cream of the Association’s motocross talent. These include John Williams, Dave Thorpe, Rob Bentham and Gary Evans (5 times).
Qualification
The top 18 riders from the current Championships for MX1 & MX2 class are eligible to compete in the Superclass. Riders in this class may ride any capacity machine as it is an unlimited c.c. class. Riders will not be allowed to ride elsewhere on the same day as a Superclass round. Riders who finished 19-20 in the Championships will be reserves.
