Classic Scrambles
British Classic Scrambles Championship
The British Classic Scrambles Championship has been run in its present form since 2003. Typically consisting of six rounds (two races at each) it is an 'invitation' series for the best 30 riders of Pre68 machines. Championship points are awarded to 15th place with bonus points awarded on age/type/capacity of the machine ridden. At the end of the series the top 10 results from the 12 races count towards the final points total. In 2005, an over 50 plus age category was introduced in response to the influx of younger (35-45 years) riders.
Classic Motocross des Nations
The annual CMCdN is organized by the European Classic Motocross organisation (ECMO) with the format of the event based on age and teams of four riders, each age group having to compete on bikes from a specific era. There are three age groups, 40 plus on Pre72 bikes (as of 2009 the age limit was reduced to 35), 50 plus on Pre70 and 60 plus on Pre65. England hosted the CMCdN in 2006.
